I’m Bill Richardson

I love that commercial!!!!
I really like Bill Richardson and it’s sad to see him being overshadowed by so many other candidates. I’ve seen him on a few talk shows and I hope to see more of him.
I’ve already decided I won’t vote for Hillary for the Primary election…however, if she wins the Dem nomination, I will have to vote for her for President because I just WILL NOT vote for any of those clowns in the Republican party. Not just because they are Republican, but because they are ALL idiots!
I think if he has more commercials like this, it will show his sense of humor and charisma…something that many of us haven’t seen yet.
Where’s JoAnn? She’s from New Mexico, I would like to hear her views on him, since she has seen more of him and could give an inside view of what kind of governor he is. JoAnn….are you out there???

Très très bon !
Ce type ne se prend pas au sérieux !
La façon de faire de la politique est tout de même bien différente, ici…

Hi Bandini
SuperFrenchie is on vacation and somehow his blog is not coming up. He was supposed to have a bunch of guest posters….maybe a wrong button got hit?
(shameless blog promotion) but…you can come over to my new blog. It’s still a work in progress, but I sure would like to chat with you. I’ll be sure to put some “Chicago” stuff in there for ya!

or click on my name on this blog.
Sorry, Jerome if that was bad blog etiquette…don’t mean to step on your toes. Just looking for a way to keep in touch with bandini. (looking down in shame).

Hi Mary Ellen!
I think that Bill Richardson would be a good president. I had not yet seen any of these commercials. I like them.
I won’t vote for Hillary Clinton either for the primaries.
And you have your own blog. Congrats! I left you a message there. ;)

@Jo Ann, Mary Ellen
What about Obama?
19/05/07 à 19:58
Kaem
Ahhh! Obama! Well, I have mixed feelings about him and coming from Illinois that may seem strange. I think he does a great job on his speeches, but I can’t seem to get the fact that he voted for that horrible bankruptcy bill when he first became Senator. Not only did he vote for that horrible bill, but he was part of the photo-op with Bush when he signed it. That just stuck in my craw!
Until I can get past that, he doesn’t have my vote for the Primary either. I’ll be watching the debates closely to see if that issue comes up. Until then, I’m undecided.
19/05/07 à 20:06
I like Obama and he has a lot of charm. I think he’d have a much better chance of being elected that H.Clinton would. I think that after Bush and Bush, the voters aren’t ready for Clinton and Clinton. I
I’ll be voting for Richardson in the primaries.
19/05/07 à 20:20
I agree with you, JoAnn, I think Obama would have a better chance against the Republicans than Clinton. She will never be able to woo the Republicans from voting against their party and are fed up with Bush and his ilk. Same goes for the Independents, I’m not so sure they would vote Hillary.
My husband just got back from a business trip in Wahington D.C. and bought me a t-shirt with a picture of Bill Clinton and it says “Bill Clinton for First Lady”. Kinda cute…but I would have liked a diamond necklace better. :-)
Ok..just kidding on the necklace, a bracelet would have done fine….ok, the t-shirt is good.

Mary Ellen
No problemo, there is no such thing as blog etiquette for you here ;-)
It’s not like those lunatics who came for the first and only time and say “hello I have a blog, come to visit it”.
I hope Superfrenchie will be able to resolve his trouble. I guess there is something wrong with his database or his hosting company.
About this ad, which was mostly designed for the web, it’s such a contrast with our french ones which are very very soft to say the least…
19/05/07 à 23:09
Thanks, Jerome!
I have to wonder, now that this ad of Richardson’s is out and seems to be making some headway on the blogs, if all the candidates will try to get a funny commercial out. I hope they all don’t try to come off as a bunch of clowns while they trip over each other trying to be funnier than their opponent. That could get pretty ugly..fast. There’s nothing worse than somebody that tries too hard at getting a laugh.
Regarding SF’s blog, I’m sure it will get fixed soon. I can’t imagine he’ll stay away from a computer for too long, and once he realizes it, it will be taken care of. Knowing Denis, he could find a computer in the middle of the dessert without half trying. :-D
I kinda miss reading his blog, too. ;-)

ME, Jo Ann,
And what about Al Gore ??
It seems he’s still considering to run.
20/05/07 à 13:56
ME :I’m gonna check your blog real fast.See you there.
Jerome : I knew Sf was off to go for a ride somewhere in the midwest/rockies somewhere.
I was wondering if the shutdown was due to something else.
tout sera révelé … un jour.

Jerome
Hi! I keep hearing everyone speculating about Al Gore, but to be honest, I don’t think he’ll run. For one thing, there are quite a few qualified, IMO, candidates that are already running and I don’t think he’ll jump in. He’s been around politics long enough to know that oftentimes the media will clamor for you to run and you are the media darling, but when you put yourself out there and start the campaign, the media will turn on you like a pack of dogs.
I think he’s enjoying his ability to work on his pet projects without anyone getting in the way. In fact, he can probably do more as a civilian than he could a President.
I do think he enjoys the game of tweaking the media with hints that he will run. I have the feeling he gets a good chuckle every time he see that he is 3rd in the polls to win, when he isn’t even running.
20/05/07 à 16:39
I also forgot to mention, every time Al Gore throws out a hint about running again, he gets free advertisement for the project he is working on. You can’t ask for anything better than that! Al Gore is actually using the media to his advantage. He’s a smart guy!
20/05/07 à 17:10
I agree with Mary Ellen. I doúbt Gore will run. But if he did, he’d be a formidable candidate.
I’ll say one thing for sure. If Mitt Romney or John McCain or any of those other Rethuglican candidates get elected, I am going to be so damned depressed, I don’t know what I’ll do! :(

Hi there,
Sorry for the absence. I am back (exams, graduation, folk’s visit and start of an internship)
I really like Richardson too. I am not sure that he’ll make it though, but I am pretty sure that he would make an excellent Vice President. He would be an asset on a ticket: A western governor elected in a Red State, you don’t find that everyday.
Here, in North Carolina and in Raleigh/Durham in particular this is Edwards’country. Boy, he’s popular here.
The truth is that he has been involved with the local charity in order to tackle poverty in our area. He is a good guy. I think this is why people like him here because they know that he is not fake, and that he is ready to get his hands dirty to solve problems.
He also founded the Center on Poverty here at UNC-Chapel Hill Law School http://law.unc.edu/centers/poverty/default.aspx
So I really like Edwards and Ridcharson. Too bad I don’t vote for this election (for the next one, that should do it though) but my wife does. We’ll see how it goes.
My wife does think Hillary can win too for the same reasons as ME and JoAnn.
